vba-m failing to build on fedora 24

[fedora_linux]

using fedora 24 64bit

(says beta but actually very stable)

when building from the latest git it fails during make

all dependencies are installed

(if using windows you can test in virtualbox)

could be related to gcc6 as i have heard its much stricter
