Thread of Shame
Squall Wrote:V1x0r Wrote:i purposefully left out the "trailing "\"....and I even told you and EVERYONE who uses this about that too....in the first page it shows
echo ## (you must have the trailing "\") ##
if you READ it you would have seen that. most people type the location out as
C:\program files (x86)\Starcraft II\
see how there is a trailing backslash there already? if I add a backslash in the command then when the user adds it in their location it won't work correctly.
I really DON'T want any feed back from you. ok?? I know what I'm doing.
The reason I have this in a temp folder on the systemdrive is because of people (like you) who may want to modify manually. plus..everyone uses the location I gave. I really don't care if it gets "Accidentally deleted"...and i'm pretty sure nobody is going to complain about the location gone missing.
sooooo...unless you are going to make your own patch...then stfu and enjoy what I made.
also, you don't need to post my code in a message...I obviously know what the code is.
next release, you won't be seeing the code anymore. i'm tired of your bs nitpicky responses.
and again, unless you have some actuall HELPFUL information, don't e-mail me. I like help that is actually helpful. all you do is throw problems at me, critiquing my work without actually reading anything. I tested this on the latest build...works perfectly fine. so long as you are intelligent enough to read.
I am sick of your arrogance, especially when you barely have half a clue on batch scripting or cmd parsing. I'm posting this here to show everyone that you don't have half a clue about using batch scripts at all.
Double slashes in command lines are counted as single, this is not only to ensure consistent path names, but also because doing registry editing from the command line (And Reg files) is always double slashed.
btw, stop stealing other peoples cracks and calling them your own k thnx. theres no way in hell you're the author when you don't even know how cmd lines handle double slashes.
God damn foolz.

OdnetNinja;21292 Wrote:As we see on different emulators (i.e Corn), they have the ability to run very fast on the slowest of machines. Corn is obviously not a very good emulator, and has little support for popular games. But it's speeds on slow systems is EXCELLENT. Back when I had my outdated HP Laptop, I attempted to use Glide64 video plug-in because the default plug-in was not very good at all on v1.6. As I used it, i noticed it barely moved at all, with a maximum of 10 frames per second. On my new custom built PC which is much faster, it maxes out at very high speeds, but crashes all the time. Looking more into the plug-in with different tests on different computers, I found that the only logical answer was that the software could not properly handle the plug-in. The plug-in fixed many problems with extremely poor rendering like Pokemon Stadium 2 and Jet Force Gemini, but would crash all the time at use. I would love for a better default plug-in for the emulator. If impossible, at least make it so custom plug-ins can run properly. I don't mean to sound mean or rude in anyway, this is just my honest view.

geminiman7 Wrote:This SPECIFIC driver version has wreaked HAVOC on my Dell Studio 540. 1 day after being automatically installed by Windows Update, my computer began crashing about every hour, usually when moving any graphics with high color across my two 22" Samsung screens.
To make matters much worse, the 6th time my PC crashed, the power supply COMPLETELY died inside my PC, causing me to purchase a brand new power supply.
What caused me to narrow down the crash issues to a video card driver update was the fact that everything that I did with graphics, my computer would crash instanty.
After completely replacing the power supply (since it refused to turn on after my computer repeatedly crashed--guess it wore the power supply down???), my computer finally turned on again, but crashed several more times. Finally, I manually downgraded to an older version of the display drivers (26x.xx) and my computer has been stable again since.
This is a SERIOUS issue that caused a computer which has been VERY stable for 2 years to crash frequently and cause me to replace an entire power supply. WTF did nvidia do with this friggin update???
Hell. I want my money back for the replacement power supply. I read elsewhere where this specific driver update caused hardware failure for other people!!!!!

Like I said a year ago, I'm waiting til Haswell because that's a Tic and not a Tock.Squall Leonhart Wrote:Tocks are the big changes (Marchitecture)

Broadwell/Haswell is Tock (Though one may be a Tick of the other, compared to IB both are a tock)

Pun intended on the "little" shrinks? Laugh
Tick is a new architecture.
Tock is a die shrink.
Kinda hard to sum up what each of these are capable of, other than the obvious...
Not sure what's going on with your broken clock, Squall. ;P
Core was a Tock,
Penryn was a Tick,
Nehalem was a Tock,
Westmere was a Tick,
Sandy Bridge was a Tock,
Ivy Bridge is a Tick,
Haswell is the next Tock,
and Broadwell would be a Tick (not another Tock).tsunderetaiga Wrote:Not what I heard Tongue
Ivy Bridge is a Tick+, shrinking of Sandy Bridge architecture from 32nm to 22nm, plus a big leap for IGP.
They claimed that it would have very low TDP thanks to the all new Tri-Gate manufacturing process, 20% faster than Sandy, and the IGP would be able to play all newest games. All lies! GlareRezard Wrote:Where do you get your info?

How can I be wrong, but I'm saying "what everyone else is telling me"?
Sooo... Everyone is wrong then? Tongue
Even funnier; You posted a link that backs up what I say.
Laugh And now I see you went back to edit/correct your post.
gj making it look different than when I posted.
BTW - I seriously feel your attitude is uncalled for,
and it is your statements that are the insults.
Do you seriously feel you're not the ass when you constantly tell people to "shut up"? Squall Leonhart Wrote:Rezard Wrote:How can I be wrong, but I'm saying "what everyone else is telling me"?

You denied that Marchitecture changes are Tocks in the same post where you stated that Penryn was a Tick followed by Nahalem as a Tock

it doesn't look different, all the text previously there is there + some additions for poor sops like you who try in vain to deny the facts as they are

Oh really?

Insulting people that are more intelligent then you may get ignored by most people that are more intelligent that are you, but some of them are eccentric and WILL call you on it.Rezard Wrote:Oh, pfft!
I knew I'd get mixed up with the "Ticks" and "Tocks" at some point.
Forgive me for making a typo,
but at least I use stuff like ;P to let people know I'm being playful.
I'm not carrying a sore attitude...
With you, you clearly said "tick, tick,tick..." and I was merely posting what I'd seen (and again-- you linked).
Also-- the ;P to indicate all in good fun.
You never do that.
You're goal more clearly is to insult, or flame,
and possibly to make yourself out to be "more intelligent" than others.
I don't care for this "who's smarter" crap.
My goal is to learn from others what I don't know,
and share what I have learned.
Incorrect or not;
At least I'm not without good intentions...
Sad how he does a complete backflip, and them im the one that gets banned when hes the one abusing people.
