Sad RE: XBCD 0.2.7 Discussion
So I just got your drivers working but I have one problem. I'm using a Konami DDR Pad and it automatically assigns the directions to the POV hat which means I can't press left and right or up and down at the same time. I need to be able to do this :[

I'd like to be able to change this with some kind of setup utility like you keep mentioning but this version doesn't appear to have one(?) Has anyone gotten Konami DDR Pads working with this driver? Am I just missing something?

did you have 0.2.5 at some point?, the installer for that fails to remove a registry key that makes the xbcd subgroup not appear in the startmenu, you have to cut and paste it from there and back again.

Hello,

I'm using an X-Arcade solo, it's a 1st gen device
http://www.xgaming.com/service/images/Xb...entify.jpg

with a converter it then goes to Xbox format
http://media.ldlc.com/photos/00/00/22/12...1268_2.jpg

I've modified cable, and plugged onto a PC
works well with XBCD and this ID

%XBCD.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_04B4&PID_8BB1 ; X-Arcade Oldgen

http://pastebin.com/4PBb5rre

I didn't tried 2nd port(P2), perhaps the PID would differ (unlikely)

Regards,

RE: XBCD 0.2.7 Discussion
Trying to get this working, Windows 7 64-bit, but I'm not finding myself able to install the driver. That is, the .inf file, so I can't get it to show up in the list of drivers when I go to update the driver from the device manager. So it's not a problem with the program as such, but maybe I'm not the only one who's had this issue. Trying to get it working with a Hori Real Arcade Pro EX-SE, and was by someone who has the same stick linked to an .inf with this string in it that I added to my own:

%XBCD_360.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_0F0D&PID_0016 ; HRAP

But when I right-click on the .inf and choose Install, it just says "The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation". Any ideas?

I still have Masahiko Morii's Dinput X360 Wireless Controller drivers for Windows 7 x64. Never used them (used the wired ones on my old PC).
Tried them today on my newly bought PC+WirelessController but they don't seem to work. Windows says there's an issue and whenever I plugin the controller it detects it, but it doesn't appear in the list. Unless I have to update the wireless receiver drivers too... that might be why it didn't work.
Oh well, whatever, I went off topic.

So back IT with what I wanted to ask, XBCD currently doesn't support wireless X360 controllers and I guess it won't ever because it's too complicated and it implies two different devices, right?
So I guess it's unreasonable to hope for support in the future.
Sounds strange though, didn't some old XBCD+ Vista drivers support X360 Wireless Controllers?

Anyway, my issue is simple and maybe someone here could suggest me another solution.
One of the games I play regularly (Final Fantasy XI) is very old and doesn't completely support X360 pad, basically it doesn't feel the analogic triggers as digital buttons.
I could overcome this with mapping softwares (there are many), mapping a keyboard key to those two buttons, but for reasons that I can't explain (you wouldn't understand if you don't know the game) I cannot use such a method.
So I wonder, is there any other way to "emulate" my pad and make my PC believe it's another pad? Like.... a FFXIV pad maybe. Could I force those drivers in place of my X360 ones?
Any other way? Can't think of any Sad

Ehr nevermind a lot of what I said in my previous post. Managed to make Morii's drivers work. Simply I had to use them NOT on the controller but on the WIRELESS RECEIVER.
Wonder if the same tactics would work with XBCD?

I'm still having issues though, even though the drivers recognize all movements perfectly, the game still cannot catch Xrotation/Yrotation (basically the right stick). It stays stuck in a direction and it doesn't sense me moving it.
Anybody has an idea why this is happenin?

Dunno if it's a bug/problem with these drivers or if it's my fault I messed up a bit with my previous tests trying to swap drivers for the Controller instead than the receiver

Via the wireless reciever? Never.

the x360ce dev, or atleast the guy who is continuing it anyway, is going to do a dinput to xinput wrapper some time in the future, might be what you need.

is that stick calibrated in devices and printers?

There was a file, many years ago, who claimed to be a beta driver called "XBCD Plus" for the X360 Wireless Controller.
As I said it was beta and for Vista, probably 32bit only.
Used to be hosted at the following address but of course the page is down now.
http://xbcdplus.truth.aonservers.com/down.html
Dunno if it was fake or not, never tried it since back then I didn't have a wireless controller.
Found the link on an old guide of a national forum I used long time ago, first post hasn't been updated yet so the link is still there lol

You also haven't replied me on why it's currently not possible to develop XBCD for X360 wireless controllers.
I mean, not that you "have" to reply to me lol, I'm just kindly asking if you could please do so, I'm curious to understand why is it so complicated.
Sorry if I sounded arrogant or demanding, as if it was probably more than clear enough, english is not my main language Smile

I'm ignorant with this stuff. Means he's gonna make a thing that converts Xinput into Dinput? Basically the opposite of what x360CE does now.
Is there a community anywhere concerning x360ce? I only found their google page which is not exactely particularly efficient to follow discussions on issues and other topics.

Quote:is that stick calibrated in devices and printers?
As I said in my previous post, in the "Devices and printers" menu I normally see 2 different peripherals: the wireless receiver and the wireless controller.
Tried to install Morii's wireless drivers many times on the controller, but no luck.
When I tried to install them on the Wireless Receiver, it instantly worked but when you do that it's like the receiver itself gets, sorta, recognized as the pad, and the Pad disappears from the list in "Devices and printers".
From the internal menu of the drivers everything seems to be working correctly, from the FFXI pad customization menu instead I finally see triggers as digital buttons 11 and 12, but the Xrotation/Yrotation doesn't work anymore for some reason.

It's strange because with the wired controller drivers from Morii (on my old PC) everything works perfectly.

Guess I'll try again later when I get back home, but it sounds like I'll have to just use the basic drivers and avoid using the triggers, sigh

Well, part of it rests on my not being a hid/common class developer, so i don't understand the interface to make the drivers use it, its also not so easy to adapt the current driver code to use on wireless controls.

basically yeah.

Quote:Xinput Emulation
XBCD also now contains an Xinput emulator which there are 2 profiles available for use on the internet database.
Set XBCD to the Triggers on seperate axis profile or XBCD 360 emu profile in the XBCD Setup app and then start up the x360ce app.

On the Settings database tab, click refresh, then look for profiles with the following hash's
For Xbox Controllers, look for 41FF4C76 (This profile was created on an Xbox S Type, so will be named as such)
For Xbox 360 Controllers, look for 2F8C1B2D (This profile was created on a MadCats MLG Pro Circuit, so will be named as such)

Just received a new HORI ex2 turbo in the mail from amazon. With a base ID of USB\VID_24C6&PID_5500
Can confirm working properly by just replacing the ID in the inf of the HORI with this ID.

ah, i was afraid that would be the case

the application uses the device name to pull valid profiles, so a profile created for the MLG will not appear for the other madcats controls, and 360 type pads seem to override the device name in the registry.

i'll create a new thread with setups that work on these pads.
