XBDC and old Xbox Dance Mat
Hey . I have this old Xbox dance pad for Pump it up Exceed . I saw some tutorial on the internet saying I could make it work in my pc, followed the intructions but ...

Although it seems that the pc recognizes it (somehow), I can't make it work with XBDC Setup Utility .

If I run the x360 it seems to detect it but can't find settings for it .

Then if I try to use Total Game Control it recognizes a device called MadCatz Beat Pad (w/Handle) , but I can't make the key trigger anything .

It's as if it was there but not there at the same time lol

Can anyone please help me ? ^^

Edit:

I just noticed I did not provide enough information about my situation ...

I'm running Win 7 x64 . I have tried both with Total Game Control and Pinnacle Game Profiler to set up my pad keys but althought both recognize the device , neither is able to recognize any "key" pressed on the pad . Also , I noticed that they both say the pad has 24 keys ?

Hope that helps me .

Hardware Ids

USB\VID_0738&PID_45FF&REV_0100
USB\VID_0738&PID_45FF

The device appears under the name

XBCD Xbox Foot Pad (on device manager)
XBCD MadCatz Beat Pad (w/Handler) (on Pinnacle Game Profiler & Total Game Control)

Edit: Damn it I'm dopey .

It actually has to be posted on that subforum isn't it ?

I'm going to put it there sorry .

ok, well the foot pad does already appear to be supported

trouble is i've never actually used one with xbcd myself, others apparently have but i've no idea how.

does the footpad show any response in the setup utility at all?

No .

The Setup Utility never detects the pad .

On a later test , x360e detects 5 out of the 10 zones of the dance pad ( I press it , it appears As B1 etc on the emulator ) . Still don't know why the others won't work.

Another weird thing I'm seeing is that everytime I change the pad to a different USB port , the device goes unknown for windows ( althought x360e still sees it ) .

Also , it won't show up on usb detector ( unless I wire it wrong on purpose then it shows up but with an error, I did this to check if the wiring was ok ) .

The pad is shown once you open x360e or any of the key mapping softwares I mentioned .

RE: XBDC and old Xbox Dance Mat
did the xbcd driver actually install on the device?

as long as the xbcd driver is installed and working the device should appear in the xbcd setup utility
after that its just a matter of setting the buttons up so the dpad aren't pov directions
