Please fill out this form it will help us triage your issue if we know what operating system you use and what version of the emulator you're using: Expected behavior Actual behavior Steps to reproduce the behavior Crash bugs If this is a crash bug, and you have the time and inclination, please provide a symblic backtrace. Instructions for doing so are here. ROM details Which games are affected by the issue (please state if GBA or GB game): Which games, if any, are NOT affected by the issue (please state if GBA or GB game): Option details Video driver (simple, opengl): Sound driver (directsound, xaudio, openal, SDL): Build details Operating System (Windows, Mac, Linux (state distribution), etc.): If using Linux, specify if using xorg or Wayland: Version of code (pre-built binary version, or commit ref, or just "master"): Hardware details: If your joystick or gamepad isn't working in Linux, please try to troubleshoot using the information on this page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gamepad BEFORE filing an issue. Running games with arguments

I am new to VBA-M, I have recently upgraded from a much older version to the newest version. In the old version I was able to make shortcuts for games that would run them automatically. I can't seem to do this with VBA-M. I have searched other forums and online resources, and I can't find any documentation on this subject for VBA-M. Is this possible in the newest version, and if so, how? The shortcuts I had worked like this: `%VBAPATH%\VBA.exe "%GAMEPATH%"` Are there new arguments set for doing this?

    AGBPrint howto?

As I understand the AGBPrint feature is for getting text log output from homebrew apps. Cool stuff How can I use it - print something from my game code?

    GBC with SGB border

Is there a way to display the SGB border on a GBC palette instead of just the SGB palette for those compatible games? The only way to get GBC palettes is to select GBC but if you set the borders to always be on it just displays solid colors. I've been away from this for quite a while so I'm curious when this feature was removed and why and if there is a way to bring it back. I remember older versions of the emulator supported this.

    Link function

use wine my dude. in xterm(or whatever you use as terminal), just type in sudo apt-get install wine then just follow the process. (on the agreement screen, hit tab to get your cursor). You'll now be able to run windows programs on Linux! Yay!
  8. yes some cartridges use GB/GBC infrared for linking, like these games: Bomberman MAX Blue Champion Bomberman MAX Red Challenger Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets Mary-Kate and Ashley: Pocket Planner Mission Impossible (thanks SparTonberry) Super Mario Bros DX (combine your high score table with a friend's) Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal (get mystery gifts) Pokemon TCG (thanks Nionel) Robopon (technically doesn't - it has its own infrared sensor built into the cart) Xena: Warrior Princess (supposedly, but I can't find more details online) so the VBA-M are plan to support it?

    VisualBoyAdvance-m 2.0.1

Just tried this version and golden sun the lost age has become an all around bug/glitchfest. Sticking with the older version till this is fixed.
  11. So I had my VBA savetype as EEPROM Flash 128K, and started Advance Wars 1, every time I tried to save in-game, and reload it, it just creates a new game. So I settled for save-states and I went pretty far in the game, beating the campaign. And after I've done all that, after some screwing around I found out that it does save with Automatic Flash 64K. I started a new game, saved in a VS Map, and after restarting the game, I've noticed that everything works fine.. So I tried to load my savestate and save the game from there. After I reloaded the savestate, It brought me back to new game again. I think the savestate is stuck as "EEPROM Flash 128K". Is there's a way to convert between EEPROM Flash 128k and Automatic 64K? If not, how can I bypass this problem? I don't want to start a new game.

VisualBoyAdvance-M [svn 1206 MFC] info and download

There is no need for visualboy advance to go 64bit, there is no benefit to it, and it would simply be using more registers to do nothing.

    Can't hold a button

I'm experiencing a problem where I can't hold a button down. It will sometimes register the hold for a half-second, but most of the time a press and release signal is sent, rather than just a press. Any game function that requires a button be held down is impossible. Edit: It's likely important to note that this is happening in link mode to Dolphin in Final Fantasy Crystal Chornicles. This is the only way I've attempted to use this software. However, M-WX seems to fare a bit better than M. It will register a hold for up to 2 or 3 seconds sometimes. It's still highly irregular, and not long enough. Edit 2: Emulation --> Turbo mode seems to make the problem worse.
  16. How did you fix it? Please let other people who visit the forum know. After a great deal of google searching a kind soul (Skid) on the dolphin forums pointed me to the solution. It's a driver issue as gostevie said. The newer Xbox One drivers don't broke background input functionality and it's been that way for quite some time it seems. I'll link his post here as this page has a higher google search rank than the actual solution so it might help people in the future.
